New Lock Screen for iPhone 4

Sometimes you just have to embrace reality through little daily reminders. Here’s my new lock screen for my iPhone. Hoping this reminder prevents dropped calls–maybe all other smartphone owners should do the same. 🙂

Jobs changed the entire argument with nineteen words

Have you read Scott Adams, the guy behind Dilbert, and his response to how Steve Jobs handled the iPhone 4 Antennagate? Interesting read.

Adams said Jobs’ move was a PR skill called “Higher Ground.” This allows Jobs to move the problem beyond the iPhone 4–and even beyond Apple. And while you can imagine a cartoon picking on how you hold the phone–with the nerds in the Dilbert comic pouring on the sarcasm, Adams thinks it would be hard to pick on just Apple now that Jobs has shown the world it’s a bigger problem than with just the iPhone 4.

“If Jobs had not changed the context from the iPhone 4 in particular to all smartphones in general, I could make you a hilarious comic strip about a product so poorly made that it won’t work if it comes in contact with a human hand. But as soon as the context is changed to “all smartphones have problems,” the humor opportunity is gone. Nothing kills humor like a general and boring truth.”

Clear winner at British Open Championship is Loudmouth Golf

Even if John Daly doesn’t place in the top 10 at the 2010 Open Championship, his clothing sponsor clearly did! Loudmouth Golf has received world-wide awareness for their “loud” pants.

Daly is a perfect match for this brand. He wears his emotions on his sleeve. He has no problem being different. Daly has a fan base that loves him no matter who his latest wife is, which brand of cigarettes he’s smoking–or the fact that he “smokes” in public, and where he finishes on the leaderboard.

After reviewing www.loudmouthgolf.com, here are a few pair of pants I’d wear to the golf course.

BYU remixes the Old Spice commercial

BYU Library takes the Old Spice commercial and remixes for their own need. Pretty dang good. I like the cart comment at the end.

And then there was pink

Yesterday at the Open Championship, the paisley pants came out.

Today, the "pink" version of the trousers came out of the closet. I wonder where I can buy some of those? Gotta look that up.

NOTE: Daly is sponsored by Loudmouth Golf. Crazy stuff can be yours via the Loudmouth web site at www.loudmouthgolf.com, including the pants and blazer worn by John Daly at the British Open.

John Daly makes ugly look good

How about those pants? Big John, I love you man. You're the only guy I know that can sport pants with paisley's the size of a Jack Krammer tennis racket. And like you, I'm liking that new R9.
