Big brother’s watching Microsoft ’til 2009…prepared to make it 2012
Associated press is reporting tonight that Microsoft has come under pressure again from the Justice Department for lapses under a landmark antitrust settlement. The Justice Department said Friday it wants to extend by two years its oversight of some of the company’s business practices until at least November 2009.
This quote that the Justice Deptment referenced from Machiavelli is very telling:
The Justice Department quoted Renaissance philosopher Machiavelli to describe Microsoft’s lapses: “He who has not first laid his foundations may be able with great ability to lay them afterwards, but they will be laid with trouble to the architect and danger to the building.”
