- I love watching "The Open" Championship. Love golf in UK. Similar, but different sport than here in the USA. http://t.co/6181ihN #
- In Logan for USU's freshman orientation. Son is enrolling in engineering program. Proud papa today–even though it's not BYU. 😉 #

Seven-Year Old Rides Without Training Wheels
I love the memories this brings back for me personally of the day I learned to ride a bike. It’s joy relived every time I see that smile.

2012 PGA Championship to play at 7,606 yards!
Holy cow. I played The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island. It’s a Pete Dye. It’s a great and tough track. Now they are lengthening to test the top 30 golfers in the world at the 2012 PGA Championship. 7,606 yards in a place where Mother Nature can add a 1,000 yards with a windy day? Good luck boys–wait, that should say MEN!

Alpine Loop is Spectacular
Today I went home from Midway over the Alpine Loop from Provo to
American Fork Canyon. Stopped at Sundance for a sandwich. Then onto Mt
Timp trailhead and over the summit out to Cedar Hills. The views were
stunning.

Good Numbers at Soldier Hollow
Changed out the TaylorMade for the 4 generations-ago Titleist driver.
The fairway hit percentages were back in a very nice place. My GIR
percentages looked worse than they were since most of my misses were
just on the edge of the green. I missed two very makable birdies from
inside 10 feet. The day was so beautiful that it was hard not to make
today’s round at Soldier Hollow a true pleasure.
