Golden Spike National Monument

Amy had a great idea: take the family to the Golden Pike National Monument in Promontory, Utah for our Labor Day get-a-way.

I loved it. Fun place. We saw a reenactment of the connection of the Central Pacific and Union Pacific railways. Heard the whistles and felt the steam.

The weather was heaven. We even took a couple of roads to see the original grade of the railway.

If you get a chance, pay a visit.
