TaylorMade Golf’s CTO: The Inside of Club Design

This is my second story from TaylorMade Golf. I was able to meet and interview Benoit Vincent, the Chief Technology Officer at TaylorMade. He is the man who manages the engineering team.

This video shows cutout head of the new TaylorMade SuperQuad and Burner drivers. You can see the system to manage weight distribution. Vincent talks about use of aerospace engineering and casting to create modern clubs. Pretty cool stuff considering the metal wood was introduced by Gary Adams of TaylorMade at the PGA Merchandise Show in January 1979, just 18 years ago.
